Dead Mans Party

Dead Mans Party was the second project I was a part of. This time our assignment was to make a point-and-click game with processing. At this point, we were all starting to figure out our roles and we already had some knowledge of what to do. For this project I took on the role of a designer for the first time. I thought of the concept, “A girl gets stuck in a bar in hell and has to win a bet against Satan to get back home.”, I designed the characters, helped designing the screens, designed and drew UI elements, made a trailer, and wrote all the dialogue. The other team members drew the rest of the game (like the great art piece seen above) and coded the game. In the end it still very much was our first fully digital game and that shows, there are some glitches, the game does not feature any sound design, it was very short, the dialogue was not the best, etc. All in all, though, a very fun experience which taught us a lot.
